Currently, the IT and digitalization unit at the Education Administration in Jönköping Municipality is facing several exciting projects, including the implementation of a new learning platform for preschool, a system for school choice within primary education, and a new system for high school admissions. These are platforms that affect many users in Jönköping Municipality. Therefore, we need to strengthen our team and are looking for a driven Development Leader with a focus on digitalization. The unit's work supports the entire operation from preschools, primary schools, high schools, cultural schools, labor market departments, adult education, and vocational colleges spread throughout Jönköping Municipality.

You will be part of the IT and digitalization unit at the Education Administration, which consists of a total of 15 employees. The unit is divided into four groups: Systems and Services, Technical Equipment, Competence Development Digitalization, and Pedagogical Jönköping, where this role is part of the largest group, Systems and Services, which consists of eight employees. In the unit, we have a culture characterized by a strong drive forward and a strong desire to make a difference. Jönköping Municipality follows a governance model for IT and digitalization based on PM3. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across broad contact areas with different people within the organization, such as users, suppliers, and employees within the municipality's central Digitalization Department.

Responsibilities

As an IT Development Leader, you will work both in implementation projects and in management as an object specialist in IT. You will do this together with other object specialists in the unit and the organization's object specialists.

You will work with:

• Configuration of registry data
• Testing of functional requirements, technical requirements, and integrations
• Development and troubleshooting regarding system integrations
• Continuous collection and mapping of the organization's needs
• Process mapping
• Documentation of existing and future solutions
• Orders to external suppliers and the municipality's central Digitalization Department
• Support and user assistance

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant education in IT and digitalization
• Experience in system management, with an understanding of integrations and information data flows between systems 
• Experience working in a large organization
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Experience working in projects

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in the public sector
• Experience in business development, requirements specification, and testing.
• Knowledge and understanding of IT architecture.
• Experience in system implementation.

As a person, you are driven and communicative and have an easy time collaborating with different types of individuals. You have a strong focus on operations, the ability to see things from a holistic perspective, and a structured way of working. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
